I have found that rolling back the volume knobs helps and that older distortion pedals like some of the older MXR ones dont create all this over the top or oversaturated distortion and this eliminates a lot of adjacent string noise yet gives a nice sustain on single notes for lead work.

14 years later, and somehow I thought bending strings wouldn't blister my fingers smh. These tips are godsent. I didn't know you need to use the wrist as the source of power. My fingers get caught underneath the other strings and sucks ass. I'm trying to learn hotel California solo, and i am butchering those bends lmao. Hopefully I'll get better! Thanks man!
